Coming off of a very busy month of May, which included nine matches in a 27-day span and a new logo launch, Orlando City SC (9-0-3, 30 points) will open up June with a USL PRO match against the Montreal Impact Reserve tonight at ESPN Wide World of Sports. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm ET.

The Lions will be up for a challenge tonight, as the strength of their roster will be tested with three of their key players currently out on international duty — Kevin Molino, the USL PRO leader in goals scored this season, Darwin Ceren and Tommy Redding — and a fourth player, Mikey Lopez, having been recalled by Sporting KC this past week and sent off to Energy FC.

Not to mention, Dennis Chin and Rob Valentino are both still out with injury.

“Obviously we’re missing three players who have been important for us recently, but when one door closes another one opens for another two or three players,” Head Coach Adrian Heath told the OCSC website. “I would never prevent players from playing for their country, because I know how much it meant to me as a player. We’d love to have them here but I think it will be great for them to play against four or five of the best players in the game.”

Orlando City is unbeaten through 12 USL PRO matches this season, and they are two positive results shy of City’s single season record for matches without a loss in league play.

Montreal, on the other hand, will be playing it’s first match against a USL PRO side this season. The Major League Soccer reserve team lost it’s first Reserve League game, but won it’s following match against the New York Red Bull Reserves.
