Positions we are currently looking to fill ahead of 2015:

Staff Writers: Anybody that’s looking to give their thoughts and opinions on the club. Can also help out in covering any news or games when needed.

MLS Columnist: Provides columns on all things and related to Major League Soccer. We cover Orlando City, but our readers also value a voice on the entire league.

Youth Academy writers: the MLS squad isn’t the only part of the Orlando City Soccer Club; the Lions host a very prominent youth system, too, full of talented academy players and a u23 team. If you have a passion for the youth, we’re looking for a writer to provide updates and player profile on some of Orlando up-and-coming stars.

US National Team writer: We like providing coverage on all forms of soccer here at O-Town’s 11, and that includes covering the men and women of the US National Team. If interested, you’ll be providing content on all news, friendlies, and tournaments involving the USMNT and USWNT.

Our goal at FanSided has always been to provide enough quality content to make ourselves a consistent daily resource for news and information for all of your favorite sports team. In order to do so it requires building a strong team of writers and there are opportunities here at INSERT O-Town’s 11 to join our team to help us do so.

FanSided continues to grow daily, reaching a broad audience across our 280+ sites that cover the entire sporting landscape and various aspects of the entertainment world. Between the vast internal network of writers and readers and a great content partnership with Sports Illustrated there are certain opportunities to have your work read by countless readers just as passionate as you.

Prior experience writing in an online platform is always beneficial, but certainly not required. We have a growing network of writers and editors across the network to learn from, network with, and help out along the way – making this a great place for an aspiring journalist, budding writer, or simply someone looking to expand on a hobby.

A number of our former writers have gone on to full time roles at local newspapers or national publications, with a few even landing positions working directly with the teams themselves. Others even work full time for us directly. We’re firm believers in creating opportunities for our own here, as every member of the network’s leadership has worked their way up from within.
