GK Mason Stajduhar

The Orlando City academy graduate and longtime Lion finally made his MLS debut in 2021, starting five matches. The 23-year-old went unbeaten as a starter, helping Orlando to two wins and three draws. He had one clean sheet and conceded five goals in those five matches.

Stajduhar made 10 saves at 67%, second best on the team. His post-shot expected goal difference was -0.05, meaning he basically saved everything you’d expect him to, according to FBref. He also completed about 85% of his passes and just under half of his long balls.

It’s hard to make any sweeping conclusions on five starts, but Stajduhar proved to be a capable backup goalkeeper in MLS, quite the accomplishment considering he entered the year as the team’s third-choice net minder.
