As queries continue to fly for the 2025 roster of Orlando City SC – both the first team and B – so are rumors. The latest name is Thalles, a forward who has made waves in U-20 competition for Brazil’s Botafogo-SP, or Botafogo Futebol Clube.
His full name is Thalles Eduardo Gomes Ferreira.
As supporters should now understand, everyone involved with Orlando City is talking about this Brazilian striker except for the front office. They keep working on the roster while remaining characteristically silent to the public.
The Thalles story as blasted onto Instagram says the promising striker trained at both Coritaba and Athletico-PR.
Coritaba Foot Ball Club and Clube Athletico Paranaense or Athletico-PR are rivals in the Brazilian state of Parana. The training conditions for Thalles gave him the unique experience of playing on both sides for two strong opponents.
The two clubs play each other regularly in the Atletiba derby, a celebrated rivalry in Brazilian football.

Thalles’ current organization was promoted to the second tier of Brazilian football, Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B, in 2018.
Thalles' favorite attacking position is center-forward. No matter where he is training, he’s always on the hunt to create chances and get scores. His first goal in the U-20 competition came in January last year.
He’s scored twice in matches three times since then.
He’d be an intriguing addition and would fit in immediately on the Orlando City SC roster either training with the first team or Orlando City B.
