We already knew that, didn’t we? Marta isn’t done yet with the Orlando Pride or with us.

What else could the Orlando Pride achieve after 2024? They earned the NWSL Shield and then won the league championship. Then the season ended with team Captain Marta out of contract.

The people of Orlando witnessed their first major league sports championship. It was the end of the greatest season in Orlando Pride history.

But there still must be something to accomplish. That’s because Marta has just signed a two-year contract with the Pride. She’ll help everyone discover what new plateaus they will reach in the coming two seasons.

Haley Carter said she’s aware that there is still somewhere for the team to go in the area of accomplishments. The Vice President of Sporting Operations and Sports Director explained that through Marta’s skill and leadership they would discover new accomplishments during her tenure.

Further, Marta hinted at how the players would approach their blazing trail to these new plateaus. She said they proved everyone wrong during the 2024 season by winning it all.

So those who don’t think they could achieve more will get another lesson in Orlando Pride'stenacity.

As Marta puts it, they will again do something special as a team.

Long before joining the Orlando squad in 2017, Marta earned international recognition. For the seasons 2000 to 2009, she was named to Sports Illustrated's Top 20 Female Athletes. She’s the all-time goals leader in World Cup history with 17, topping men’s and women’s totals.

She’s the first player to score at five World Cups and has won FIFA Women’s Player of the Year five times.

Yet, Marta still sees a path to more accomplishments, not just for herself but for and with her teammates in the Orlando Pride.

So get ready for the 2025 season to open. It will happen.
