Orlando City B has locked in a player who earned a spot on their roster. He’ll be claiming a spot on the First Team before supporters know it.

Midfielder Justin Hylton consistently earns praise from coaches and colleagues for his rapidly developing execution. He’s earned his spot on Orlando City B. But his execution won’t be the first thing First Team supporters report once he gets his short-term contract with Orlando City SC.

Once Hylton takes the First Team pitch, supporters will shout first about his results. For the rest of the week, they’ll be reliving the flair he displays while executing plays.

Hylton recently signed a two-year MLS NEXT Pro contract with Orlando City B through the 2027 season. The 18-year-old comes from the Orlando City Academy, the latest homegrown talent to progress along the organization’s developmental pathway.

He made 14 appearances, six starts, last season with Orlando City B – some of them explosive. His first appearance was on June 1 against Chattanooga FC. He recorded his first goal contribution with an assist on the game-winner in second-half stoppage time. He’d only been on the pitch for three minutes.

Five days later, he made his second appearance, this time against Huntsville City FC. Again in stoppage time, he gained an assist setting up the come-from-behind, game-winning goal.

By organizational reports, Hylton has offered an immediate impact whenever he’s gotten a chance to join the squad in game situations.

But the organization knows better than to rush players, even when it seems to invigorate them. With every call to get on the pitch, Hylton brings fireworks along with skilled execution.
