Orlando City SC has playoff home pitch playoff tickets for sale. Now they just have to fix their position in the MLS post-season.

The Orlando City SC front office has begun selling tickets for the Lions’ first potential home match in the 2025 MLS playoffs. What remains is for the club to secure that home game.

The plan now is to win their last match of the season against Toronto FC. That win gets them into Round One/Best of Three Series with at least one home match.

The Lions are wrapping up the season in seventh place in the MLS Western Conference. So a loss or draw could put the team in a wildcard match, either at home or on the road.

After their loss 2-1 to the Vancouver Whitecaps late in the season, several players had ideas of what went wrong for Orlando and what they could do to get their best post-season position.

Forward Nico Rodriguez said the players didn’t maintain possession very long. When they did have possession, they weren’t in their best form.

Head Coach Oscar Pareja described the problem as a lack of synchronization. He said the team was dropping too low, too quickly. They weren’t comfortable in their positions.

Defender Dagur Dan Thorhallson added that, after the Lions scored in the first half, they dropped back and spent too much time defending. Then Vancouver equalized. In second-half stoppage time, they scored for a 2-1 victory.

Instead of focusing on defense, they needed to focus more on possession.

Both Vancouver scores came in the second half. The late collapse is something that has occurred and harmed Orlando several times in the past. When they’ve drilled on focus and controlling space, this has fixed that problem.

Orlando City SC has drilled out the problems that have damaged their standing in the MLS Western Conference. The fix has always worked. It will ensure they make good on their home-pitch playoff tickets.
