Before practicing formation shifts on the pitch, the Orlando Pride continue shifting their roster.

A flurry of signings has powered up the depth on the Orlando Pride roster. They signed four young players to the goalkeeper, defender, and two forward positions. This instantly positions them for the 2026 season with incredible depth.

Goalkeeper Cara Martin will continue developing on the Pride squad as she trains alongside legendary keeper Anna Moorhouse.

Martin brings a strong introduction from Georgetown University to the Pride squad. She was the Big East Goalkeeper of the Year in both her junior and senior seasons. She made the All-American Third Team in her senior year.

She started all 23 games in her senior season, recording eight shutouts and 59 saves. She earned All-Big East First Team and All-East Region First Team honors. She also took College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors in her final season.

She joins Katherine Asman in shadowing Moorhouse, who continues setting NWSL records. She set the single-season record for clean sheets with 13 in 2024. That same season, she helped the Pride reach 554 minutes without conceding, also a league record.

On the club, Moorhouse holds the records for most saves in a season with 87.

Defender Nicola Payne comes as a free agent. After playing for the USC Trojans and West Virginia, she moved to Paris Saint-Germain, then as a transfer to the Portland Thorns, where she appeared in 19 matches.

Forward Seven Castain comes to the Pride pitch from TCU. In college, she earned the 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team and was a semi-finalist for the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy. That came after she tied the organization’s single-season goals record with 17 in her senior year.

She also posted 38 points, the second-most in school history, and tallied six multi-goal games with two hat tricks. In TCU’s run for the NCAA College Cup, she scored five goals in two matches.

A young signing that brought cheers was forward Solai Washington. Scouts' eyes stayed on her during her two years in college. She made 35 appearances, eight goals, and four assists for Florida State. She won the 2025 National Championship with the Seminoles. She scored two game-winning goals and two assists, appearing in 18 games and starting half of them.

Scouts report that she shows rapidly developing maturity and unrelenting composure with the ball. She has an ability to break lines and consistently demonstrates composure, versatility, and a competitive edge that will get her much time on the NWSL pitch.

The Orlando Pride is loaded and ready for the NWSL season.
