2022 MLS Predictions: Eastern Conference

7. Toronto FC

This is by far the biggest gamble I'm making. Toronto were awful last year and have a paper thin roster right now. The number of academy graduates who'll be thrust into minutes this first part of the season is ridiculous. But even if the depth is shoddy, the top-end talent is insane. Alejandro Pozuelo is a year removed from an MVP season. Carlos Salcedo was one of the best defenders in Mexico. And they're getting Lorenzo freaking Insigne in the summer. With a manager as good as Bob Bradley and the sheer talent at his disposal, Toronto's getting back to the playoffs.
