Coach of the Year: Brian Schmetzer, Seattle Sounders

MLS media types are typically very boring with coach of the year picks, almost always giving it to the coach of the Supporters Shield winners. I expect Seattle will win the Shield, thus Schmetz gets some hardware for himself.

Honorable Mention: Bob Bradley, Toronto FC

Comeback Player of the Year: Jordan Morris, Seattle Sounders

Everybody loves J-Mo, and if the Sounders win a Shield, he'll play a big role.

Honorable Mention: Aaron Long, New York Red Bulls

Newcomer of the Year: Xherdan Shaqiri, Chicago Fire

This award has never been harder to pick. The amount of good to elite players brought into the league this offseason is ridiculous, plus more are coming in the summer. I'll rock with the Power Cube in Chicago and say he has at least a 15 goal, 8 assist season for the Fire.

Honorable Mention: Facundo Torres, Orlando City

Goalkeeper of the Year: Andre Blake, Philadelphia Union

When Matt Turner leaves, Blake will be the best goalkeeper in MLS. A lot of Orlando fans believe that Pedro Gallese is more deserving of that title, but there's not a single stat that proves it, and frankly the eye test doesn't really prove it either.

Honorable Mention: Pedro Gallese, Orlando City
