The other new signing in midfield was a lot more obscure. The Lions went to the land of fire and ice --- Iceland --- to sign up-and-coming box-to-box midfielder Dagur Dan Thórhallsson. The 21-year-old midfielder is coming off a career season in his home country and could become an impact player for Orlando City.
It's hard to say how he'll project in MLS --- there's not much precedent of players coming over from Iceland --- but he does have four international appearances under his belt already.
