Better or Worse than 2021: Midfielders

Out: Uri Rosell, Raul Aguilera
Rosell was a key cog in the team that made a run to the MLS is Back tournament final and was an important squad player in the transition seasons before Oscar Pareja took over, but he's struggled to find fitness or form ever since. He played less than 600 minutes each of the last two seasons and was far from elite when he was on the field. He's back in Sporting Kansas City after he wasn't resigned by Orlando City.
Homegrown Raul Aguilera also had his option declined for 2022. He barely played in MLS and didn't look particularly up to snuff in brief minutes. He's off to Indy Eleven in the USL Championship, and hopefully he'll develop into a good professional player.
