Out: Daryl Dike

This is an undeniably tough blow for Orlando City, but also an exciting move. Selling Daryl Dike for around $8 million is a fantastic long-term development for the club. Establishing that Orlando-to-Europe pipeline is essential for the club as it tries to fully integrate into the global transfer market. The last thing we want is another Cyle Larin or Chris Mueller situation, and selling Dike now was a smart move.

However, we can't act like losing Dike is going to be easy. It went kind of under the radar, but Dike had a very strong end of season in 2021. After international duty and time off with injuries, the American striker emerged as one of the best forward in MLS yet again. He finished with an impressive 10 goals in around 1,300 minutes and was the focal point of the team down the stretch. That's a huge void to fill.
