Montreal are one of the five MLS clubs who got their season's started early in Concacaf Champions League, and the Canadians got the toughest draw of the bunch against Mexican giants Santos Laguna.

CF Montreal played surprisingly well against the Mexicans in the first leg, but the combination of preseason fitness and Santos' quality won out in the first match. On the return to Montreal, the Canadians took it to the visitors, smashing Santos 3-0. The scoreline might've even been friendly to the Mexicans. It was a great result for Montreal, but to be fair, this Santos team is very not good.
