Prediction

The Fire are a much improved team from a year ago (at least on paper) and boast serious match winning talent throughout the squad. This is their home opener and there could be one of the biggest crowds the team's had since moving back to Soldier Field in 2020. Orlando City's also playing without Robin Jansson at center back, an undeniably big loss, especially against a dangerous Chicago attack.

All that being said, Orlando is definitely the more complete and experienced team, and probably just more talented on just about every line. The combination of factors leads me to expect a tightly contested draw.

Score Prediction: 1-1; Goals from Ercan Kara (ORL) and Jhon Duran (CHI)
