GK Pedro Gallese

Stats: 8 GP, 5 CS; 69% save, -1.1 PSxG

It's been a decent start for Gallese, if a tad underwhelming. He's marshaled a strong defensive start with five clean sheets in eight starts, but his actual goalkeeping stats are a bit subpar.

I've written about it at length, but Gallese's shot-stopping numbers are not that great. He's in the bottom half of MLS starters in goals allowed above expected and his save rate is aggressively average.

Gallese hasn't made mistakes this season and he's a key leader for the team, especially with the void of Antonio Carlos. The Peruvian is also decent with his feet and provides confidence on ball. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed with his start to the season, just underwhelmed.
