Ruan came to Orlando the same time as Moutinho, and the Brazilian has been the more consistent of the two Portuguese-speaking fullbacks. Ruan provides an element of pace that isn't matched by anyone on the roster, and probably isn't matched by anyone in club history. His end product has been sketchy at times, as is his one v. one defending, but Ruan brings a unique and valuable skillset to the table. He's under contract through 2023 and has the right back spot locked up until then, and maybe beyond.
