Smith isn't a flashy player, he'll never sniff a Best XI or national team call-up, but he's effective and gets the job done for the team. Smith provides valuable versatility along the backline, capable of playing right back, left back, or even center back in a back three. Smith's presence is probably the highlight of James O'Connor's tenure as Orlando City head coach.
