Grinwis is an undisputed cult hero amongst Orlando City fans for his shootout victory against New York City FC in the US Open Cup (the Running of the Wall). After a stint in USL with the Sacramento Republic, Orlando picked him up as a free agent last season and have since exercised the club option to keep him around this season. As far as backup/third-choice keepers go, you can do a lot worse. Grinwis isn't a great player, but he's reliable and beloved in Orlando. For a relatively unimportant roster spot, having someone like Grinny is a delight.
