Orlando City Schedule Breakdown: August

8/31 vs. Seattle Sounders, 7:30 p.m. ESPN+

From the reigning champions to the paper champions of the preseason, this is one of the most difficult weeks on any team's schedule. Orlando will host the Seattle Sounders for the first time since 2018. The Sounders are as stacked as any MLS team in recent memory. Raul Ruidiaz is at worst a top-three striker in MLS, midfielder Joao Paolo was an MVP candidate last year, US internationals Jordan Morris and Christian Roldan are still kicking it and they just added Albert Rusnak from Real Salt Lake. Those are just forward thinking players. The defensive core is almost just as stacked. This is a team that can win multiple trophies.
