Orlando City Schedule Breakdown: February/March
3/27: @ Portland Timbers, 4 p.m. ESPN
The brief trip out west concludes with a second nationally televised match, this time against the reigning Western Conference (playoff) champions. It's the second of six games on national tv for Orlando this season. These two teams famously met in the final of 2020's MLS is Back Tournament, where Portland's pair of set-piece goals ended Orlando's dream of the first trophy in club history.
Portland are consistently one of the most talented teams in MLS and will be formidable once again in 2022. The Timbers lost Diego Valeri, but Sebastian Blanco and Diego Chara are still around, as are top strikers Felipe Mora and Jarosław Niezgoda. Playing in Providence Park is also a daunting task, with one of the most famous and impressive atmospheres in the league. This is a match to circle this year.
