A quick turnaround for the Lions as they come back home to face the Houston Dynamo three days later. This is the third and final battle with a Texas team in 2022 and a revamped Houston squad is headed to Orlando. The Dynamo have a new owner, new general manager and a new head coach to lead one of the most disappointing franchises in the league over the last decade. Last year, Houston were dead last in the Western Conference. Rookie manager Paulo Nagamura has his work cut out for him.

New Designated Player Sebastian Ferreira was brought in on a club-record transfer fee from his native Paraguay and will be counted on to score the goals. Houston also feature Panamaian international Adalberto "Coco" Carrasquilla, who has quietly become one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the league.
