Orlando City selects Creighton forward Duncan McGuire in MLS SuperDraft

Orlando City selected Creighton forward Duncan McGuire with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft.

McGuire is coming off a breakout junior season for the Blue Jays where he led his team to a Big East Championship and the national semifinals. The American forward led all players in college soccer with 23 goals in 24 games played, also adding three assists.

For his career, the Nebraska native scored 28 goals and provided six assists in 55 games across three seasons for Creighton. He spent four seasons in Omaha with the Blue Jays, redshirting his first year before playing a supporting role his first two years of action,

This past season was his breakout campaign and he's a finalist for the Hermann trophy, given to the most outstanding player in college soccer.
