1. Ercan Kara
Ercan Kara's on fire. Your defense is terrified.
The Austrian striker is finally on the star turn many hoped for when he arrived from Rapid Vienna. The Designated Player has faced scrutiny for his inconsistent production in MLS as the highest-paid player on the team. That criticism if turning to praise after another excellent outing for Kara.
The forward scored the opening goal off of a long throw-in, and he set up the game winner with an excellent flick on to a streaking Ojeda. Kara now has four goals on the season, and he's scored all of them in the last five games.
Based on his career production, Kara is bound for some modest regression soon. But he's finally making an impact on the game. Between Kara and supersub Duncan McGuire off the bench, the Lions are finally finding real presence up top.
