Orlando Pride to play open-door preseason match Thursday

The Orlando Pride are scheduled to play an open-door preseason friendly against the Kansas City Current Thursday, the club announced Monday. The match will be played at Exploria Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 6:30.

The Pride opened its preseason campaign with a 2-0 victory against NJ/NY Gotham FC. Midfielder Erika Tymrak and forward Julie Doyle scored the goals for Orlando.

Orlando will open the 2023 NWSL season on the road March 26 against the reigning champion Portland Thorns. The Pride's home opener is scheduled for Apr. 2 against Angel City FC.

The open scrimmage comes five days after Orlando City played an open friendly against the New England Revolution.
