Ranking the Top 5 Strikers in Orlando City History
1. Cyle Larin
Orlando City: 87 Games, 43 Goals, 6 Assists
Duh.
Orlando City's first-ever draft pick is also one of the best players to ever suit up for the Lions. Across three seasons, Cyle Larin was one of best goal scorers in all of MLS and gave a bad Orlando City team an elite line-leader. His rookie season was actually his strongest, bagging 17 goals, before dipping to 14 and 12 goals in the two years that followed. Even if his form dropped over time -- the team around him also crumbled so can we blame him entirely? -- Larin was a great player for Orlando City.
His time in Orlando ended on bad terms, with the Canadian forcing his way out, plus there was the controversial DUI charge in 2017. It certainly wasn't perfect, but Larin was a great player for the club and a seminal figure in the club's early MLS life. In the time since he's left Orlando, Larin found his feet in Europe, becoming a genuine star in Turkey and becoming the all time leading goal scorer for the Canadian Men's National Team.
