Could it be anyone else? Nani is everything we could've ever asked of hoped for in a Designated Player, especially one of his pedigree. The Portuguese superstar gave everything for Orlando City, on and off the field. He provided moments of true brilliance that's never been seen at the club and was a true captain. When the club went through it's biggest transition, Nani led the way and brought the Lions to their highest heights yet in MLS.

He faded over the course of seasons, he wasn't always the most consistent, but you couldn't have asked for more from the guy. Nani was a perfect face for the club and an incredibly productive MLS player. If he had come over when he was a little younger, he could've won an MVP award. But even with what he did deliver, I have nothing but gratitude for Nani.
