Orlando Pride players continue to set new records in NWSL as they win matches away and at home.

After a recent 1-0 win over the Houston Dash, Orlando Pride continues to lead NWSL. Their unbeaten streak reaches back to the end of 2023. But the win at Houston Dash sets that streak at 18 straight games and establishes a new NWSL record.

Pride Goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse also established team records with her eighth clean sheet of the season, plus the most clean sheets all-time with 15.  She was tested dramatically in the 76th minute when the Dash executed a close-range shot.

Moorhouse came to NWSL and the Pride in 2022 as one of the most accomplished players in the league. Her greatest previous highlight was as a member of Arsenal when she won the 2017-2018 WSL Cup. She also was involved in a run for the 2018-2019 FA Cup Final with West Ham United.

The single goal – and the only score necessary for the win – came in the 67th minute from midfielder Summer Yates. She took the ball from a seeing-eye pass by fellow midfielder Angelina. She sent the pass through the heart of the Dash defense, received by a perfectly calm and collected Yates.

That proved the great value of Orlando Pride drills.

The Dash did see a chance for an equalizer in the 86th minute. But their shot hit the right post and registered as off-target.

With a 12-0-5 record, the Pride have earned 41 points this season on a Goal Differential of 21. The only team in the same universe as Orlando Pride is the Kansas City Current. They have a 10-1-5 record, 35 points and 18 differential.

So Kansas City represents the team’s greatest test as they march through the rest of this season. They meet at Inter&Co Stadium on Sept. 13.
