Speculation on Twitter is floating that Arsenal is interested in Orlando City star Facundo Torres in the January transfer window.
The rumor was shot down by ace MLS reporter Tom Bogert.
Arsenal have not contacted Orlando City over a potential move for star and Uruguay international Facundo Torres, I’m told. Rumors suggesting a move is “very close” are not true. Many clubs have Torres on their radar, Orlando expect him to be in the UEFA Champions League one day.

However, the Standard in the UK is reporting that Arsenal is tracking Torres, even if a move in January isn't looking likely right now.

Still early stages for a possible move.

This is the first major rumor attached to Torres, who is coming off a stellar debut season for Orlando City, setting a club record for combined goals and assists in a single season. Torres is also on Uruguay's preliminary World Cup squad with a chance to represent his country in Qatar.
The 22-year-old winger will certainly be the subject of persistent transfer rumors from now till the day he inevitably inks his move across the pond. Given his massive talent and growing international pedigree, a club like Arsenal will eventually come calling for the Uruguayan.
In the summer, Torres scored a wonderful goal in a scrimmage against the Gunners, making their rumored interest all the more probable.
As of now, Torres is under contract through 2025 as a Young Designated Player. He's expected to highlight Orlando City's team next season as the Lions look to defend their US Open Cup title and make a push for MLS Cup. Orlando is also making its Concacaf Champions League debut this winter.
