Still in Preseason Mode

It's was a preseason game and it looked a preseason game. Neither team brought much intensity and showed both rust and general sloppiness. On Colorado's goal, for example, Robin Jansson was mentally switched off and gave a half-hearted attempt to mark his man at the back post. That type of sloppy defending is very much a product of preseason form, and shouldn't be an indictment on the team.

The same rule of thumb also applies to some of the fluidity in the final third and general synergy in possession. There were moments when Orlando looked really good, but other times when things weren't in sync. That'll continue to grow with more games together. And once you add the intensity of meaningful games, mistakes iron themselves out.
