Portland Timbers midfielder Eryk Williamson would be a massive swing for Orlando City to make its midfield arguably the strongest in all of MLS. Williamson seen as a prime trade target at the beginning of the season after a difficult season in Portland and issues with head coach Giovanni Savarese, but it seems like the USMNT midfielder will be in the Rose City this season.

If Orlando wanted to make a big trade offer, though, Williamson would immediately take the team to a new level. The 25-year-old American is a technically gifted and versatile midfield weapon. He can pass and progress the ball with the best of MLS, and has enough offensive and defensive ability to spell as a No. 10 or No. 6.

With the impending signing of Dagur Dan Thórhallsson, a big money move for another central midfielder seems unlikely. If Orlando decides it still wants to try for another midfielder, Williamson would be the perfect fit.
