Araujo was named to Uruguay's preliminary World Cup roster, meaning he'll get a chance to prove head coach Diego Alonso that he deserves one of the final roster spots in Qatar. However, the 21-year-old defensive midfielder is likely on the outside looking in for this tournament.

He's certainly on his national team's radar, though, and at his age he has a very bright future with La Celeste whether he goes to this year's tournament or not.
