Ercan Kara should be benched

I don't know if the striker rotation is as much of a lightning rod conversation topic for the rest of the Orlando City world, but it's extremely fascinating to me.

National media types have already written off Kara, and are ready to anoint the likes of Duncan McGuire as the new No. 9. Kara started the season opener for the Lions, but he didn't do a ton in over 60 minutes of action.

I am still very high on Kara --- and arguably irattionaly high --- so I'd need at least a five game sample of actively poor play (and he wasn't even poor against New York) before I'm benching the Designated Player.

Verdict: Overreaction
