Both left back and right back are spots that need some retooling or improvement from within for Orlando City. Joao Moutinho is an excellent starting left back, but he's potentially on the way out with no obvious replacement already on the roster. Right back Ruan is as inconsistent as any player in MLS.

For Orlando City to become a more complete team, it needs more than just Kyle Smith as depth out wide. Young homegrown players Michael Halliday and maybe even Alex Freeman will play a part in that, but the Lions also need to add at least one left back before next season starts.
