Three Positions Where Orlando City Need More Depth
Attacking Midfield
Orlando City has decent enough midfield depth, but the #10 spot needs an understudy to Mauricio Pereyra. The Uruguayan talisman can be great, but he doesn't have the legs to play a full season, and he faded in 2021. As it stands, Orlando doesn't have a natural back-up to Pereyra.
When he's out, Orlando has typically turned to Andres Perea, but he's not a natural attacking midfielder and limits what Orlando can do with the ball. Maybe Facundo Torres can fill in for Pereyra in spot moments, but a more natural backup, and potential long-term replacement, is needed.
