Sometimes a player's value is best shown through their time off the pitch. When Pereyra was subbed off in the 55th minute, Orlando completely controlled the game. The first half was fantastic and the first few minutes of the second followed suit. Once the captain left the game, DC took complete control.

Putting Pereyra slightly deeper in midfield was a fantastic tactical switch that's jumpstarted Orlando's offensive game. He can pull the strings better and it puts an extra playmaker in the center of the pitch. I hope we see Pereyra in this deeper role moving forward.
