Araujo is an elite defensive midfielder, but two moments in this game were far more significant than his all-around play in midfield. On two set pieces, Araujo got in a good position for the second ball and was able to get a shot on frame and in the back of the net.
His first goal was a gigantic moment for Orlando City. When the Red Bulls scored in first half stoppage time, all the energy left the building. When Araujo lashed a ball to the back of the net to tie it, Exploria Stadium erupted. Then he added another in the second half for good measure.
