It would have been amazing for the Orlando Pride to select a new General Manager from the team they defeated for the 2024 NWSL Championship. Well, they didn’t. But almost.
The Orlando Pride selected their new Vice President of Soccer Operations and General Manager from the club that fought to prevent their advancement to the NWSL Championship match.
Caitlin Carducci helmed the Kansas City Current as the squad opposed the Pride in their final match before advancing to the championship. She’s now the new General Manager and plans to helm the club as they go all the way this season.
Choosing the Current’s former general manager isn’t as ironic as if they’d selected someone from the Washington Spirit. That’s the club they defeated for the championship. But it’s almost that ironic.
Her Current club lifted the NWSL Shield in 2025. Now she has everything listed for the Pride: Both the NWSL and Concacaf championships, the FIFA Club World Cup, and another NWSL Shield.
She knows that with the established players and youth on the roster, the Pride can work hard, fight for wins, and yet care about each other as they achieve success.

She fills the spot Haley Carter held. In the past three years, Carter led the organization to deliver Orlando’s first major sports championship with their NWSL victory in 2024. After facing monumental competition challenges, they finished the 2025 season in fourth place and a record of 11-8-7, 40 points.
Carter left to pursue other interests but pledged to stay close to the team to ensure a seamless transition. The organization couldn’t have selected a finer one.
Carducci has stayed ready for all managerial challenges. She joined the Current in November 2023 as Director of Soccer Operations. She was named interim General Manager in May 2024, but the interim tag came off later that year.
No tags anymore for Caitlin Carducci and the Orlando Pride. Just success in the upcoming season.
