Per a report out of Brazil, Orlando City is approaching a deal to sign 20-year-old Brazilian midfielder Victor Yan from Santos F.C. Yan is expected to sign for Orlando City B, who will play in MLS NEXT Pro, As of now, there are no details on price, but Yan has Transfermarkt value of $50K.
Yan plays for Santos's reserve team and developed in the Santos youth system. He is an attacking midfielder who could provide some creativity for OCB and potentially earn a spot on the senior team.
Per Transfermarkt, Yan has no professional appearances in his career. The site also says he was called up to the Brazil u15 and u17 teams, though he's never represented his country at any level.
Orlando has previously been linked with left back Ignacio Galván of Racing Club in Argentina, another unproven youth academy player from South America. While both players could end up making an impact with the MLS club, both might factor for OCB as well.
The club hasn't released a roster for OCB. Orlando City B starts play against Chicago Fire FC II on March 26.
