2014 World Cup: United States vs Ghana lineups

We’re about an hour away from the game that has been circled on the calenders of many for the past six months — it’s USA vs Ghana in the American’s opening game of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

There are no surprises in Jurgen Klinsmann’s lineup for tonight’s game, as he’ll be using the same Starting XI as he did against Nigeria in Jacksonville over a week ago. Ghana, meanwhile, are going with a very attack-minded lineup against the US.

The lineups

United States lineup (4-4-2 diamond): Tim Howard; DaMarcus Beasley, Matt Besler, Geoff Cameron, Fabian Johnson; Kyle Beckerman, Jermaine Jones, Alejandro Bedoya, Michael Bradley; Clint Dempsey, Jozy Altidore

Ghana lineup (4-4-2): Adam Kwarasey; Kwadwo Asamoah, John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Opare; Andre Ayew, Mohammed Rabiu, Sulley Muntari, Christian Atsu; Jordan Ayew, Asamoah Gyan

As you can seem, Ghana, surprisingly, will have Michael Essien and Kevin-Prince Boateng on the bench to start the march, as they’ll betrying to break out against the US backline of Beasly, Besler, Cameron and Johnson.

This is it. Kick-off is almost here, you guys. I believe that we win will.

Do you?
